We are looking for a strong (Senior) Product Manager to help drive our business forward. The Product manager is responsible for ensuring the product portfolio deliver as much business value as possible by guiding product decision making and supporting Sales & Marketing.  Accountable for product customer satisfaction. [Business value includes cash, positive customer feedback, positive product reviews, competitive differentiators, absence of usage problems and the ability to achieve premium pricing]

 

Objectives of the role

  • Develop and maintain a product portfolio, strategy and roadmap of new product introductions that is aligned with the strategy and needs of the business
  • Facilitate alignment on big product choices such as strategic product features, product architecture, and significant technology selection
  • Own decision making on non-strategic product choices
  • Promote user-centric thinking, be the advocate for the customer

 

Technical requirements

  • Contribute to the company’s product strategy
  • Prepare new product propositions and business cases
  • Work with designers on aligning design choices with the product’s value proposition
  • Support development in defining technical requirements consistent with the product proposition
  • Contribute to pricing decisions
  • Contribute to product release planning activities including product availability to support sales forecasts and when to launch and when to withdraw products
  • Provide product information at multiple levels, sufficient for effective sales and marketing processes
  • Respond to market problems in relation to managed products
  • Develop other (less experienced) Product Managers
  • Build and monitor product business cases
  • Support others in their planning (program manager, manufacturing manager, etc)

 

The ideal candidate

  • Technical/Engineering/Science/Design/Business Bachelor degree
  • Experience product managing technical products, ideally consumer electronics products and apps
  • Passion for photography and interest in how camera systems work
  • Technical and commercial acumen
  • Consumer empathy
  • Analytical
  • Inquisitive

 

What to expect

This is a full time role based in our Amsterdam HQ. You’ll be reporting directly to the Product Director (Gareth Weston) and working closely across the whole team.
